What can be done?
In order to have a healthier internet environment, governments around the world must appreciate the opportunities that digital communications and the internet present, and invest in providing a free, open, secure, and accessible internet for all.
We must work together to raise awareness about the devastating impact of internet shutdowns on human rights and people’s lives and get governments and stakeholders around the world to advocate to put an end to this new repressive global norm.
