Martha is the digital rights coordinator of ARTICLE19 México y Centroamérica branch. She’s a human rights defender and an expert in the construction of participatory public policies and advocacy processes for truth, memory, and justice.

What can be done?

We should take inspiration from the demands for justice taking place through digital protests. They are a way of exercising our right to freedom of expression and of resisting oppression from the state. Political participation can be influenced and enhanced by the appropriation of the digital space to make our rights count.
