Mehwish is the head of digital at ARTICLE 19 and was part of both the Project on Speech, Privacy, and Technology and Human Rights Program at the American Civil Liberties Union. She has an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford.

Communities should be provided with regulatory and technical support so that they can build their own networks and achieve alternative connectivity that meets their needs on their own terms.
