Nirmita is an Asia Pacific focused senior fellow and a program director with the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICT. She’s also a founding member of the Centre for Internet and Society and a policy fellow with Lirne Asia, a regional policy think tank working across South Asia.
What can be done?
We cannot have digital inclusion without accessibility. We need to include those excluded by poor connectivity and design. We need accessibility and universal design standards, policies, and practices, and we need stakeholders to adapt these standards everywhere, so we can make the internet (and the world!) much more inclusive.
