What can be done?
The open technology community around the world should propose and promote a Declaration, Protocol, and International Covenant on Digital Freedom, Rights, and Autonomy; and request states to sign and pass compatible bills within their territories.
Beijing started the implementation of Hong Kong's new National Security Law, giving sweeping power to the police and threatening technology innovation and business.
