Veronica is the founder of the first Romanian digital think-tank: Digital Citizens. She’s an international expert working intensively at the intersection of new technologies, human rights, and digital governance, engaging in policy development, research, and training.
What can be done?
We need to create and empower digital citizens to address challenges at the local level with access, education, and transparency. The debate needs to move more from the global sphere to the local level. Creating “citizens’ councils” on technology could be part of a solution, empowering citizens to be active, and at the same time increasing transparency.
