Zack is the regional roving grant officer for Asia at Voice in Southeast Asia. He also landed accidentally in the higher education sector, specializing in educational development, learner-centered design, and teaching and learning with technology.
What can be done?
We need to have a greater conversation around the ownership and diversity of internet services in Asia and see them as a public good that requires more public investment. Only this way will we avoid surrendering to big tech companies that dictate who has access to their services and therefore, to information online.
